Northern California Skippers Club Memorial Derby
- Who: Members and their Guests
- When: Month-long; November 1-November 30
- What: Sturgeon and Striped Bass
- Entry Fee: $10 per species
- Weigh in Station: Club scale
Derby Rules and Details:
– This derby will be held annually to honor Arnie M. and all members whose numbers have been retired by Northern California Skippers Club.
– This derby will be held the entire month of October and November (start and end times per Department of Fish and Game rules).
– Any monetary participation changes by the club will be voted on by the membership.
– For the Memorial Derby, the club will contribute $200 towards Striped bass and $200 towards Sturgeon.
– The pots will consist of $200 plus monies received from entry tickets, and will be awarded by giving 60% of the pot to the 1st place fish and 40% will be given to the 2nd place fish per species.
– One award per member.
– All fish entered into the derby must be weighed on the club scale.
– For a member to be eligible to win these awards they must have purchased a $10 Derby ticket for that species.
– Members may arrange for their tickets by phone and must do so prior to fishing.
Derby open to Youth under the age of 16:
– There is no cost for youth under 16 to fish this derby.
– A $100 award will be given to the largest striped bass and a $100 award will be given for the largest sturgeon.
– Award monies will come from the NCSC Youth Fishing Program.
– All fish entered into the derby must be weighed on the club scale.
– There must be at least one Skippers Club member fishing on a boat with youths.
