About Our Club Events

Each year, the Northern California Skippers Club hosts and participates in a number of events for fishers, friends, and family. The most popular events including fishing derbies for the Bay Area’s top species of fish, and family-friendly gatherings. It’s in these events that fish stories truly come to life.

For more information on this year’s events, see our Events Page.

Club Picnic

Each Summer, the Club hosts its annual club picnic for family and friends. Picnic-goers enjoy barbecued favorites including oysters, salmon, linguica, and steak, followed by a raffle of amazing prizes.

Youth Events

The Club often hosts youth events, for fishers under 16, which is a great opportunity to give back to the community and share the knowledge of fishing. Whether fishing for catfish or leopard sharks, these fishing events help spread the love of fishing — so much so that it’s not uncommon for these young fishers to grow into club members.

Fishing Trips, Camping, and More

Club members often partake in non-club events, too. It’s not difficult to get enough people interested in taking a fishing trip or going camping; with some members even going to Alaska and Mexico.
